Some may remember a small little house on Soi Thonglor serving authentic Malaysian food treats.
In case you do not know they have now moved to a new location just near the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 26 and the main Sukhumvit road so easy to get to from the BTS at Promphong (can get address from website kopitiamthailand.com
All the same favorites still there and still as good Char Kway Teow; Laksa; Nasi Lamak; Bakuteh with all the ingredients brought in by the Malaysian owner who supervises and cooks all the sauces for the Malaysian dishes herself.
New place has two floors and nice to sit in private on the second floor although still not 100% decorated.
Staff do not speak much English but they are keen to serve and menu is quite well written and easy to order.
Specialty of the house which I particularly love is their own style of Black Pepper Crab which I never thought would taste this good outside of Singapore only issue is you need to call and order one day in advance.
Not too expensive and if in the area and missing the old favorites worth a try.
