The designer Robert McFarland has created something very unusual in the Thanont Golf View & Sports Club.  Surrounded entirely by water, holes seven and ten have to be played to island greens, and holes one, two, three and nine on a totally separate Island.  None is more difficult than the ninth and eighteenth which require the player to negotiate a large lake so as he can gain access to them.
